Timing With print bookstores closing down in droves in Australia, is it time for us to go international and take advantage of the possibilities of online publishing more than ever before?

CommunicationWhat we'd like to do is to get input from aspiring writers and published writers about how they view the possibility of eBook publishing as a part of their writing life. We want to know what questions Australia’s rich and diverse group of writers have, and what level of interest there is in getting published digitally as opposed to in print.

PossibilitiesWe're also interested in submissions from Australian writers for the WordPlume Choice Program. This is quite a revolutionary way for writers to get published online. Amazon Kindle e-Singles, to give just one possible example, accept unpublished manuscripts of 5000 – 30 000 words. This platform has attracted established writers like Jodi Picoult and previously unpublished writers as well.

OpportunityThere really are a huge amount of opportunities for Australian writers in eBook publishing. Writing in English means that there is a large potential audience offshore, with well-established online sales portals available to exploit.
